We have built a new production hall and purchased another modern production line to reduce delivery times and even further improve production efficiency.

The distribution warehouse in Hronsek was extended and modernized.

Our company as a member of the Association of passive fire protection of the Slovak Republic won the “2014 Vladimir List award for normalization” for our significant contribution to technical standardization. The prize was awarded by the President of the Office for Standardization, Metrology and Testing of the Slovak Republic.

ELKOND HHK a.s. has become a 100% Slovak owned company.

ELKOND HHK, a.s. as the main partner has supported the formation of a new portal „NORMALIZÁCIA.SK“ dedicated to professionals and aimed at technical normalization. This portal was created in reaction to a long lasting negative situation in the area of technical normalization in Slovakia and to create a place for discussion for those, who see this area as an important part of education, economics, safety, quality of life and creating conditions for competitiveness in business.

ELKOND HHK – joint stock company became an active member of the working group WG 10 “Fire performance cables” CENELEC TC20 “Electric cables” through their representatives. This way we actively participate on creation of new European standards for the cables.

Our company was granted the highest award of the Association of passive fire protection of the Slovak Republic for our significant contribution to the area of creating and leading in of several important Slovak technical norms and regulations for use of electrical cables, which create the base for the national system of fire safety of buildings.

After the successful lead in of production of above mentioned cables, has ELKOND HHK a.s. started a new sales strategy of his products, aimed at promotion of new products for target customer groups.

ELKOND s.r.o. transformed to a joint-stock company and changed its name to ELKOND HHK, a.s..

Company ELKOND was based as the only Slovak producer of telecommunication cables.

Development and start of sale of cables J-Y(St)Y … KNX and J-H(St)H … KNX for BUS systems.

Development of special cable CC04 for security technology.
Development and start of sale of flexible screened control cables YSLCY.
Development and start of sale of special PTTA cables intended for power supply to antennas of telecom operators.
Development of special control cable EFK SEKY for irrigation systems.

Extension of our production portfolio by special cables EFK C-HDPE-K with polyethylene insulation. Development of special cables CC01 and CC02 for communication and security purposes.

Our company has developed and launched a series of products for use in lights.

ELKOND HHK, a.s. cooperated in creation of new legislation in the area of construction products – Notice of the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic no. 162/2013, which establishes a list of construction products and systems for assessment of consistency of parameters.

Our company has included into its production portfolio special cables EFK SOLAR and EFK SOLAR-80 for use in photovoltaic solar panels. ELKOND HHK, a.s. has developed a the new product – a long-range telecommunication cable DCEPKSwFLE. This cable is essentially a complete plastic replacement of old long-range telecom cables with paper-air core insulation, metal armouring and lead sheath, which are still being used for reconstructions or relocations of telecom networks.

Certification of fire-resistant cables by the law nr. 90/1998 for construction products and by the law 69/2009, and in accordance to the regulations nr. 158/2004 and nr. 119/2006.

Start of production of special conductors for detonators. A modification of this conductor is aimed on oil and mining industry and entertainment pyrotechnics..
