New European technical standards

New European technical standards aimed at the area of construction products (i.e. cables with fire-technical parameters) will be issued on 1.9.2015. It is the first group of norms related to the cable parameter “reaction to fire”. All norms listed below were prepared in cooperation with experts from ELKOND HHK, a.s., which are members of the technical commission TK 53 Cables and insulation materials and working group CLC/TC20/WG10. Implementation of these norms into the STN system was arranged by APPO SR, where ELKOND HHK, a.s. is an active member.

STN EN 60754-1 Fire Test on gases evolved during combustion of materials from cables. Part 1: Determination of the halogen acid gas content
STN EN 60754-2 Fire Test on gases evolved during combustion of materials from cables. Part 2: Determination of acidity (by pH measurement) and conductivity
