Law nr. 346/2013 Z.z. on limiting of the use of specific dangerous substance in electrical devices

Starting from 1.1.2014 started the validity of the Law nr. 346/2013 Z.z. on limiting of the use of specific dangerous substance in electrical devices and electronic devices which replaces and changes the Law nr. 223/2001 Z.z. on waste and on change and amendment of several laws as stated in later regulations and connected with the Notice of the Ministry of the environment of the Slovak republic nr. 465/2013 Z.z. on technical requirements on electrical and electronic devices.
In terms of these regulations is a producer or an authorized representative of the produce or a distributor obliged to declare the allowed content of specific dangerous substances in electrical devices, which are also electrical cables. Because of this we will continually update the existing EC Declaration of conformity, where we will add the requested data from the point of view of the new Law so we won’t need to issue an other document to declare this property. This means that the current “EC Declaration of conformity” declaring electrical safety of the product will be augmented also by the part of the declaration of the allowed content of specific dangerous materials in the product. This document will be named as “EC (EU) Declaration of conformity”.
