New construction products with classification class of reaction to fire from us

1.2.2010 started the legal force of the regulation of Mininstry of building and regional development of Slovak Republic nr. 558/2009 that lists construction products that must be marked, systems of proving conformity and details about use of signs of conformity.
It contains important changes from the point of view of leading in of the construction products to the market including also cables. It requests proving of fire-technical properties of cables according to their class of reaction to fire. This means that each cable designated for building in into a building considered from the point of view of fire safety must comply with a defined required classification class of reaction to fire. Standard fire-technical properties valid until now set by the regulation Mininstry of Interior of the Slovak Republic nr. 94/2004, BH – halogen free with low smoke production during fire, ZO – resistance against spread of fire, are replaced by a classification class of reaction to fire B2ca, with supplementary classifications s1 – smoke production, d1 – dropping of burning particles and a1 – halogen free.
